Winter in the Soul

Icy winds, clear sky
Sharp thoughts - wondering why?
Suspecting the worse, I am sorry
Needing to know brings all this worry
I can‘t stand the suspension
What if things don‘t fit my intention?
My heart aches; contracts I feel cold
I become aware of growing old.

Turn to the sun, face the light
Breath out - let go what holds you tight
Melt the conditioning of the mind;
The unknown is safety of a different kind
Look at the flower opening to the sun
Look at the cat stretching out for fun,
Look at the child, joyfull in its run

Lift the heart, relax, trust, breath out,
Just being, is - what‘s all about.
Life has its own flow
And it will continue just so.
